El Salto is a mountain lake located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains. It is only an hour and a half drive from the port city of Mazatlan on paved roads, most of it a divided 4 lane highway. The weather is mild which allows for a long growing season for the aggressive Florida Strain bass which were first stocked almost two decades ago. El Salto provides excellent big bass fishing year round. A large percentage of our fishermen have caught their personal best on this lake. Daily trips are characterized by large number of fish and significant numbers of lunkers including some double digit bass. The lake record, set in 2000 is 18 pounds 1 ounce. Most of our business is repeat customers who can attest to the thousands of trophy bass caught at El Salto.
